Bethany Philip
Bethany Gella has nearly 10 years of experience working in education and youth mentorship. She began her teaching career in the Tenderloin district of San Francisco and moved into administration as a K-8th Grade principal for 2 years. Bethany's background in Special Education inspires her to create inclusivity in all school settings and provide opportunities for students to succeed. She is passionate about building relationships and making decisions that are ethical, culturally responsive and uplifting for all learners. Bethany loves working with educators and believes that they are truly SUPERHEROES and deserve the world (and a raise).
Bethany is overjoyed that she gets to be included in The Primary School journey towards bettering education and is excited about their holistic model of integrating Health & Wellness & being a Trauma Informed school. She looks forward to connecting with this community and learning how to best intervene on behalf of the students and families. Bethany holds a BA in Interdisciplinary Studies and a MA in Special Education. She hopes to pursue her PhD in the near future as she strongly believes in having a growth mindset in which you never stop learning. Bethany also believes that words are powerful...so SPEAK LIFE.
