About Our Program

We are proud to partner with Kaiser Permanente and several other community partners to serve Alameda County families at our newest site, which began offering remote programming in 2020. In the years leading up to opening our program, we have listened to many powerful voices in the East Bay community, including parents, community members, leaders, and medical professionals, who shared their experiences and helped us adapt our learnings in East Palo Alto to meet the needs and build on the many strengths in the community.

In 2020, because of the pandemic, we offered remote parent wellness programming and early childhood support for our first class of parents and their children.  We opened in-person prekindergarten for four year olds in fall 2021. Our school program will continue to grow through elementary school in the years to come. You can learn more about our program and partnership with Kaiser Permanente in the video below.

Admissions

The Primary School East Bay offers programs for children ages 1-4, including our Early Family Foundations (EFF) program for 1- and 2-year-olds and Preschool for 3- and 4-year-olds. Families with children in this age range are encouraged to join our interest list, and our team will follow up with more information about our programs and the enrollment process.

Parent Advisory Group

Our Parent Advisory Group (also known as Primary Parents) is made up of parent leaders who bring a wealth of knowledge about families and the broader East Bay community. Parent Advisors work in partnership with our team and act as the parent voice for our program in the East Bay. Their role is also to engage other parents and caregivers to be actively involved in the program and create a culture of inclusion.
