Jeff Ouyang

Jeff was born in China before moving to the US when he was 11. He lived in the Bay Area ever since. Jeff graduated from University of California, Santa Barbara with a dual bachelor's degrees in Psychological and Brain Sciences and Sociology. With his background in Sociology and Psychology, Jeff understands the obstacles that families face, and how to support underrepresented communities to reach diversity and equity.

Jeff was inspired to join The Primary School because he believes in the comprehensive model that brings together education, health, and family to support children’s development. He recognized the crucial role a nurturing environment plays in a child's holistic development, especially within underserved communities. During his time in college, he was a student mentor for newcomer students, where he helped ease their transition into a new education system and culture. This experience ignited his passion for empowering young minds and fostering an inclusive environment for all.
