Alina Simmonds

After taking a psychology course in high-school, Alina became deeply interested in the development of children during their first 5 years of life. She went on to earn a BA in Early Childhood Education from CSU, East Bay in 2020. Alina joins The Primary School after 5 years of working with preschool children as an ECE educator in both Tracy and Hayward. In her role as an educator, Alina has become passionate about supporting the whole child by partnering with parents to build supportive, safe, and strong foundations around children. She wants to provide a space to help children grow and encourage them to navigate the world around them. She is excited to participate in the TPS model of integrating early and integrative support for children by joining the Birth to Three program and working alongside coaches and the health team.

Alina enjoys all outdoor things and taking the time to connect with nature, especially with the company of her dog. She also loves to spend quality time with her friends and travel to Colombia, South America, where she can connect with her family and culture.
