Kristen Kyong
Kristen was raised in the Bay Area, where she found her passion for supporting students in the school setting. In college, she continued to serve in local schools as a mentor, tutor, and learning facilitator. She decided to pursue a career in speech-language pathology to help students connect with their curriculum, their classmates, and their communities through speech and language. During graduate school, Kristen practiced in various settings including an advanced writing clinic, a pediatric outpatient clinic, and a local preschool and middle school. She also worked as a research assistant for MIT to investigate best practices for supporting struggling readers. She is passionate about The Primary School’s dedication to supporting the whole child.
Kristen earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from UC Berkeley and her Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from MGH Institute of Health Professions in Boston. In her free time, she enjoys listening to audiobooks, trying new recipes, and hiking throughout the Bay Area.
