Sonny Batasin

Inspired by his mother, a teacher, Sonny has always believed that education is the gateway to possibilities. With this belief and passion, he was accepted into one of Asia's most prestigious maritime institutions and circumnavigated the globe at age 17. After his time in the maritime industry, Sonny earned his B.S. in Applied Economics at the University of San Francisco and carried this experience into his role as a leader in the IT industry. 

With firsthand experience witnessing global commerce in action and working in Silicon Valley, one thing was clear –– from hospitals in Beijing to schools in California, the world revolves around technology and data. With his commitment to lifelong learning and awareness of the ever-changing technology industry, Sonny is currently pursuing his Master's in Health Care Informatics from the University of San Diego. 

Sonny has a deep appreciation for education, as it opened the door to opportunities he could have never thought possible. With education increasingly integrated with technology, Sonny hopes to bring his experience to positively contribute to students' educational journey.
