Carlos Bean

Carlos was born and raised in San Jose and received his bachelor's in Anthropology from San Jose State University. After, he joined the United States Peace Corps as a 'Youth in Development' volunteer. Carlos spent two years in rural Thailand working with a local government office, elementary and secondary schools, and Thai based nonprofits. There he excelled in developing and implementing 'American Style' summer camps. Carlos is a community development professional with both overseas and domestic experience in working with under-served populations. He possess a strong skill set in project development, grant writing, teamwork, capacity to adapt to new situations, identify areas of improvement, as well as handle pressure. Carlos is excited to re-enter the education space with The Primary School.
