Hulises Barcelo
Since the young age of 8, Hulises has known that he belongs in the field of teaching with the goal to make children's school experience one to remember. His passion for teaching began when he encountered his first male teacher in the 3rd grade. At the time he believed that only women were teachers; however, his 3rd grade experience not only changed what he believed about teachers, but it also inspired him to become a teacher who made learning exciting, engaging, fun, and overall a memorable experience that children will never forget!
Hulises is a bilingual teacher and is fluent in both English and Spanish. He has worked with children and families for the past 14 years in a variety of Bay Area schools, always with the same goal in mind of making school fun, engaging, and memorable. He attended Notre Dame De Namur University earning his BS in Human Services and is currently enrolled in Santa Clara University aiming to obtain a MA in Education along with his multiple subject teaching credential.
When he is not teaching, Hulises enjoys sports, playing the guitar and other instruments, and spending time with his family. He is a funny, caring and dedicated teacher who enjoys bringing culture, laughter, curiosity, and excitement to learning. He is excited to join The Primary School family and looks forward to engaging with new students and families.
