Joyce Fahamokioa

Joyce is an East Palo Alto native and a first-generation college graduate. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Dominican University of California where she worked in Admissions as a student ambassador. While working as an ambassador at Dominican University, she realized her passion for providing access to higher education for underrepresented students and their families.

She brings ten years of experience working with families in East Palo Alto and the surrounding communities. She began her work providing student and parent support and education around college access through her work at Foundation for a College Education. She continued to deepen her commitment to students and families at Building Futures Now where she worked with 4th grade through high school families.

Joyce believes that equipped with the proper tools everyone can have access to higher education regardless of their socioeconomic background.
